Waking Up Is Hard To Do

Problemo: no one ever wakes up happy in this house. Ever. Sometimes having a surprise like this waiting for them helps them ease out of the land of nod. I deny any involvement. Doesn't everyone know about the block fairy?

Scary Circus Party

I had visions of a bright and airy circus for my sweet girl's 1st birthday party. Then it started pouring rain and the happy big top had to move inside into our terrible 70's den. Of course we had a great time despite the weather, but instead of beautiful sunny photos we had kind of a haunted circus.. boooohahaaaa.I couldn't afford to rent an elephant, so some Ikea tables and rugs, raiding the kids playroom, plus a little binge on Oriental Trading Company's website did the trick.

Lots of Dots

I'm not big into crafts with a one year old, but these little puff ball things managed to keep 1 year old Coco entertained for longer than the usual 2 minutes. I'll pass them on to her big brother with some glue and paper when she's done. Or, maybe they will just end up all over the house. $1 at Michael's = 20 minutes (ish) of peace.

Update: Bonus - they clog up my vaccum.
